"Recently I spent the better part of 6 weeks sick
with a cold/flu and could not work out. I was depressed and used that
as a reason to eat anything I wanted. Shana was starting a 24 day
challenge in the studio and I thought I might as well give it a try. I had
nothing to lose but pounds and inches. I went to her introduction
class to understand the plan and I was excited to get started. On
February 1, 2012, I started the plan. I worked hard, followed the meal
plans and weighed in 18.6 pounds lighter with 15 inches gone on February
25, 2012. My skinny clothes in the closet were now dusted off and

Days 1 - 10: The challenge begins with a 10 day cleanse. This is not a restrictive fasting cleanse. You will eat real, nutrient dense foods that you can easily purchase at any market. The cleanse is designed to help rid your body of toxins that can slow fat loss and in the process have you feeling more energetic and balanced. You will eliminate dairy, wheat, alcohol, refined sugars, corn and white starches, soda, coffee and bread -- in other words, all the stuff that should be minimized anyway if you truly want to live a healthier lifestyle. You'll eat plenty of veggies, fruit, healthy fats (avocado, nuts/seeds, nut butters, etc.), lean proteins and clean carbs. Days 11 - 24: Once the cleanse is finished, your body will be ready for maximum nutrient absorption.
